I’m not even close to getting my agenda done for Dustin’s birthday. I’m going to have a LOT to do tomorrow but thankfully I have mom to help and it’s not all that much once the shopping is done. Mom will wrap presents and decorate, while I finish shopping, cook and clean. But first we have to pick up the cake. Actually, I think we’ll pick it up as late as possible because there’s not really room for it in the fridge.
The day started off with good intentions. A happy egg sandwich and yogurt breakfast:
2 large eggs (150 cal) over-easy (the yolk was runny despite the well-done look they have) cooked with a little Pam olive oil cooking spray, on 2 slices Martin’s 100% whole wheat potato bread (140 cal) with Heinz no salt added ketchup

1 Chobani vanilla yogurt (120 cal) with 6 blackberries and 12g Cracklin’ Oat Bran cereal (50 cal)

My itty bitty colander, just big enough to hold about 10 or 12 blackberries

Yummmmmm! I love egg sandwiches! I know some people think eggs + ketchup = gross, but I love it. hehe
Dustin decided that he wanted to get his hair cut before his birthday, so we ventured off to the mall in Middletown at the last minute. We got there at like 9:15PM and the mall closes at 9:30PM
Thankfully there was a salon kind enough to take him. The guys there were very nice and Dustin was happy to get his hair cut. They did a really good job!
“What’s that bright light?”

“Oh, hi!”

“We done yet? I see halos.
”

While we were out, we decided to grab a bite at TGIFriday’s. We don’t know where any real restaurants are in Middletown except for a Mexican and a Chinese place, neither of which we were in the mood for. Somehow we always end up at TGIFriday’s around Dustin’s birthday. He likes their steak. lol
I got the Thai Chicken Wrap and instead of fries I got a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette, which is sort of a milestone for me!

I was excited to get seltzer as my drink.
If I wasn’t able to get that, I would have just gotten water. Although, I was tempted to get a cherry lime slush.
I ate all of the side salad and half of the wrap, then brought the rest home with us. The wrap was actually very good!! It had lots of veggies, grilled chicken and peanuts inside. Mmmm! When I was taking pics (awkwardly), a server walked by and jokingly said, “It looks good enough to take pictures of?” And it did. It was sweet and spicy, I liked it a lot. It came with extra peanut sauce on the side, but I didn’t use it. And while this looks like a healthy option, I’m sure that’s just an illusion; it’s probably made with all kind of oils, tons of sodium and who knows what else. However, it is a better choice than any of the fried or creamy sauce stuff. We skipped appetizers, but we did share in a Brownie Obsession for dessert

Between the both of us we probably ate 2/3 of it. SOOOOOOOO yummmmmmy! At least I did drop a few pounds on the scale this morning. Probably because I didn’t exercise yesterday and consequently drink a lot. This meal probably erased that water loss.
And then tomorrow will be even more. *sigh* Well, at least I dropped a few pounds like I hoped I would. Maybe it won’t be as bad as I’m anticipating. It’s really only 1 meal and some cake. And some cocktails and lunch and… oh, who am I kidding? It’s going to be a blast! I’ll post the party pics.
Time for bed!! Big day tomorrow that starts off with a good, much needed workout!
