This is the very first time that I’ve heard that people actually TRY to put on that kind of weight-ON PURPOSE!
I just have to ask why they would want to do that to themselves-ON PURPOSE.
I’m not being snarky or sarcastic, I’m just genuinely astonished and shocked that there are people out there that actually do this.
Can anyone explain this to me…WHY they would do this, what they hope to gain by doing so, etc.
I’m just completely blown away….especially when LOSING weight has been a battle for me since I was 10….I can’t comprehend anyone wanting to be obese…on purpose.

Gemma: I agree that reality TV shows are way out of control with exploiting all sorts of crap. What people do in their personal lives, is just that, personal. I’m not a fan of reality TV shows in general. I don’t like anyone profiting off of grief and the vulnerabilities of others.

Hey,
I am of the opinion that if people want to eat themselves huge over a small space of time fair enough, it is their right as an individual. What I don’t agree with though is those people selling the rights to this to TV for reality TV. This isn’t because I don’t find it aesthetically pleasing (which I’m not going to lie about, I’ve watched a show before with the fattest woman in the world and it was a bit gross) but because it’s an awful message to be promoting. These people, far from being taxed, should get help to tackle any issues that they have that means they want to be this way. I’m not talking about being 200 pounds, but about people who get so big that they have to be winched out of their homes on a crane- that’s not a life for anyone. Professional help should be made available.
