Hihi. I’m still sick but feeling a little better. Yesterday, I thought I was 100% better for several hours, but then today my cough attacks came back. It’s definitely better than it was, though. Dustin is sick too, but doesn’t have it nearly as bad as I do. His theory: he didn’t give in to the psychological side of being sick like I did. M’kay… whatever, Dr. Know-it-All.
LOL He says I give the sickness too much credit and think about it too much, so it makes me feel worse (psychosomatic). Maybe he’s on to something (I’ll never admit that to him), but I can’t help but think about coughing hard enough to break blood vessels in my eye, lol.
Organic Gardening Bugs Me
The little pests didn’t waste a second finding my tiny indoor garden!
The basil is sprouting up very nicely, though!!
The other two haven’t sprouted yet, they’re late bloomers—I hope. ![]()
I felt good enough to go to the store tonight. I haven’t been out since last week, so it was kind of nice to get some fresh air. And it’s been long enough that I’m likely not contagious anymore—colds are typically contagious for 24 hours to 5 days after contracting them. But I’m extra cautious and try not to cough or blow my nose anywhere public, and I use sanitizing wipes in the car, lol. I’m a bit of a germophobe, yet I get sick anyway. ha! Probably too sanitary, but it’s a hard habit to break. ![]()
I refilled my fruit basket that was down to 3 brown bananas.
Dustin surprised me! When I wasn’t looking, he put oatmeal in the cart for his breakfast! ![]()
Awww, that’s soooo cute! It has the nutritional value of a Twinkie.
But he get’s an A+ for effort!!
I also replenished my leafy green supply. So mad at myself, I forgot I had a $1 off coupon for Olivia’s but I left it at home!
Oops!
I really don’t buy too many tomatoes in winter out-of-season anymore, but this Heirloom looked so pretty, I couldn’t resist.
Tip: If you buy fresh produce with stickers on them, remove the stickers as soon as you get home. The riper the fruit or veggie gets, the greater the chance of taking a piece of skin off removing it later.
I also bought a box of Quorn chik’n patties and a package of Martin’s 100% whole wheat rolls (100 cal)
Time to go take a shot of vodka NyQuil and call it a night. ![]()
Do you use coupons? I LOVE using coupons! But forget them at home 95% of the time, lol. I’m so awful at it. I print them, I save them from companies that send them to me, and I save them from the mail, and then I leave them at home and pay full price. *hand to forehead* So silly! I’m buying the product anyway, I might as well save on it. It adds up, especially double coupons @ ShopRite. I think that’s what my 2011 goal is going to be: Use my coupons. Even though the first quarter of the year is over, I still have 3 quarters to kick it into high gear and save $$$$. Saving = GOOD! ![]()

I’m almost feeling better too! Hopefully by tomorrow we’ll both be 100%! In the meantime, I can’t we more than 200 ft from a bathroom. Boo!
I miss fake meat! Since I moved to Italy, it’s not readily available so I’ve just been eating real meat if there are no other options. All I want is a veggie burger along with a salad with SALAD DRESSING!
Super jealous of your chik’n patties! Enjoy them!!

It has the nutritional value of a Twinkie. Rolling on the floor laughing But he get’s an A+ for effort!! =
LOL but so true!!
Do i use coupons, only the kind the register prints, i.e. save $1 on my next purchase of this or that. I will save those but i dont clip from ads or anything. The in-store buys from crackers to produce are really good and I buy what’s on sale which makes full price/minus a coupon still more expensive than the in-store specials of the week type thing.

I love coupons — but I don’t take the time to actually look at all of the coupons in the mail. I’m sure I could save a lot more.
Way to go Dustin with the oatmeal

Sorry you’re still sick, not fun! Funny on Dustin, my hubby didn’t seem to catch what I had this time, but he’s caught plenty of stuff in the past that I never got, so I just blame his diet.
I’m the same way about not spreading a cold when I have one, I stayed away from gorcery stores and tried to avoid coughing in public. That’s great about the oatmeal, better than McDonald’s I guess.:-P
I’m a fan of coupons when I can actually find them for products we use, which is usually TP, personal hygiene products, etc. Hope you feel better soon!
I’m learning how to coupon more effectively. I hear there’s a lot of ways to save out there!

I’m a big coupon user. Takes a bit of time to collect and sort, but it does save us money. I only use coupons on items I would buy anyway though. Very exciting sprout progress! Have a great day.

Every Sunday I clip out coupons . . . and forget to use them each and every week! My husband makes so much fun of me for taking the time to get sissors and everything!
Glad you are on the road to recovery!

First of all, I had no idea that Martin’s was making whole wheat potato rolls?! My life just got better.
Secondly, I have an AeroGarden too! It’s pretty cool. The only thing is that I used up a bunch of basil and then it just stopped growing, so I don’t know how sustainable it is
Good luck with it!

I try to remember my coupons – sometimes I bring them with me but forget to give them at the register…
I love hannafords – thats where I do my normal shopping! Glad you are feeling slightly better – I’m also a germaphobe.

I have no idea how to use coupons…seriously, I will clip them once in a while and try to remember them but they inevitably disappear until it’s too late to use them!
I love that the oatmeal has the nutritional value of a Twinkie…typical of a husband, right??

Too cute that he tried with the oatmeal.
I bought those chicken patties tonight too (the non-breaded variety though). I’m hoping they’re good – this is my first try!
