Umm… I thought Jack Frost and I parted ways yesterday?! I woke up and he was in the front yard… the backyard… on the road… in the trees!
Hmmph! He’s being kinda clingy! I can tell that this breakup is going to be dramatic.
Brussels sprouts and blue cheese and eggwiches always cheer me up, though.
I bought slider-size Italian rolls (100 cal/each) at ShopRite who-knows-when, but they held up very nicely in the freezer—probably because I double-bagged them and squeezed out as much air as I could. I do have a FoodSaver, but I’ve never opened it! It’s brand new in the box. Maybe I should sell it, lol.
Another thing I rescued from my freezer: Frozen Brussels sprouts! I dumped the whole bag in a bowl, sprinkled a bit of sea salt + black pepper on them, loosely covered them with saran wrap and nuked them for 5 minutes. Sophisticated technique, indeed.
I picked on even more of them while I was cooking the eggs (in a bit of olive oil), so I ate nearly the whole bag!!
They’re sooo yummy! I prefer them roasted, but steamed makes me happy, too. I pop them in my mouth like people pop peanuts or popcorn, LOL. I guess I could have worse habits.
The blue cheese was a total impulse add. Actually, this whole meal was. In my office I was thinking: salad, blue cheese, etc., but then by the time I got to the kitchen and opened the freezer, everything changed! hehe Some times, change is good. Some times.
Yummy! The yolk was perfectly runny. I thought I overcooked it, glad I was wrong. Some times, being wrong is good. Some times. ha!
Not sure what’s wrong with me today. I’m just so hungry, even after eating all of that, 2 glasses of water, AND a chocolate chip brownie LaraBar.
I feel like a bottomless pit, but I don’t think it’s true hunger. I think my stomach is unsettled; acid or something. I dunno, it just feels sort of water-logged and empty. *shrugs* It happens. Just one more tummy symptom to tango with. Glad that this symptom doesn’t come around too often, though! I hate feeling hungry, or whatever it actually is.
So: is it still spring-like where you are or is Jack Frost overstaying his welcome?
